Sophie regularly brings music to life for general audiences giving talks, hosting panels, writing programme notes, presenting concerts, and leading workshops.

 

Her aim is always to reveal the story behind the music in an engaging and entertaining way.​​

In recent years she has been a guest speaker for the BBC, European Opera Centre, Hallé, Imperial College Concert Society, Longborough Festival Opera, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Royal Ballet & Opera, Sheffield Recorded Music Society, Showroom Cinema, and University of the Third Age​.  

 

She is a regular contributor of notes and articles, writing for the BBC (Proms and concert series), Royal Ballet & Opera, Wigmore Hall, and Aldeburgh Festival.
